Heroic Civil War buff uses 400-year-old Cavalier fighting skills to disarm knife-wielding robber as he attacked shop worker
A Civil War re-enactment enthusiast used the battle skills he learned playing a Cavalier to disarm a knife-wielding robber.
Alf Thompson, 60, sprang into action when the thug threatened to slash a shop assistant’s throat. Here's the best part: The thug grabbed for another knife, and Thompson pinned his punk ass again!
You know, even in Jolly Olde Blighty I suspect that when this yob gets to prison he's going to get his ass kicked for letting someone 13 years his senior kick his ass. Not once, but twice. When he had two knives and the older dude was unarmed... Then again, look at the picture of Thompson. He doesn't look like the kind of guy that takes s**t from anyone, does he?
And lastly, a note to the UK Mail: UR HEADLINES, SHORTEN PLSKTHX.
That is all.
I'm sure the follow- up story will be the arrest of the good guy.
ReplyDeleteAND his wife is the artillery company commander--does it get any better than that?
ReplyDeleteHad a bit of disconnect there, before I realized they were talking about the English Civil War.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that one even had re-enactors, though I guess I shouldn't be surprised.
Well done Brave Knight!
