Open Invitation for New Shooters
Just want to extend an open invitation to all potential new shooters in the Northern Virginia area. If you have never shot a firearm, or would like to get back into the shooting sports, or are an accomplished shooter who'd like to try something in my arsenal, give me a shout.

It was, in a word, AWESOME. I'll be posting an AAR shortly, before I forget everything... ;)
I got a T-shirt, a grip for my model 38, and a S&W knife that will be showing up in pics shortly as well.
Nothing of the boomstick variety, for several reasons: 1. They're cheaper at local shops; 2. Mrs. G. has granted me one new purchase, and I've already chosen it; and 3. My permit has expired and is being renewed, so as such I cannot legally purchase firearms...
Permit expired...
I used to live in MA and I still have an FID card that says "no expiration date" on it. I tried to buy ammo in MA last year. The guy at the counter laughed and told me that it had expired years ago. When I pointed out the "no expiration" line, he laughed harder.

Yeah, that all changed in 1998. They revamped (read: SCREWED) the gun laws so that the "lifetime" FID card expired.
There are literally thousands of gun owners in MA who have no idea that they are felons for possessing firearms without a permit...
