And in Other Flaming Hypocrite News...

Ain't this a kick in the ass?

Corzine’s SUV traveling 91 mph at time of crash

CAMDEN, N.J. - The sport utility vehicle carrying Gov. Jon S. Corzine was traveling about 91 mph moments before it crashed, the superintendent of state police said Tuesday.

The governor was critically injured when the vehicle crashed into a guardrail on the Garden State Parkway just north of Atlantic City last week. He apparently was not wearing his seat belt as he rode in the front passenger’s seat.

The speed limit along that stretch of the parkway is 65 mph.
Hmmm. 26 MPH over the speed limit. I was placed under arrest for 20 MPH over the speed limit in New Hampshire (fortunately the officer changed his mind and merely issued me a court summons). And not wearing his seat belt, either.

Wonder how much his ticket is going to be?

(okay, okay, stop laughing now...)

Hypocritical news of the decade, from a nutroots-style leftwing site:
"Byrd sheds light on earmarks"

No word on if the press release was actually an engraving placed on one of the many buildings name after Robert Byrd. I defy anyone to top that chutzpah.

What's next? Ted Kennedy pushing for stronger punishment for leaving the scene of an accident?

It is kinda funny that they were traveling that fast just to get to a photo op.

"Byrd sheds light on earmarks"

I don't care who you are, that's funny. I guess since Byrd is 134 years old he figures he is not going to be able to bring home the bacon much longer anyway.

"What's next? Ted Kennedy pushing for stronger punishment for leaving the scene of an accident?"

Or maybe Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson complaining about racist remarks?

Guys the world is completely upside down.

Your telling me that a driver of a car was armed with a gun, driving 91 mph, and his accomplice wasn't wearing a seatbelt....and this happened right under the governer's nose ?

No, I said the governer is wearing his dashboard under his nose.
