This is Marlin model 336 in (what else) .30-30. This was my grandfather's deer rifle, and I don't even want to guess at how many pounds of venison this gun was responsible for providing...
Someday I'd like to take her hunting again...

Now that's a pretty gun.
Also, GO SOX.
Scary thing is, this gun's as accurate as it is beautiful... I've had it out once, on an indoor range, and at 25 yards with poor lighting and iron sights (with bad eyes) I was getting cloverleafs...
Not only a beautiful gun but apart of your heritage making it priceless. Its something sadly that I think is slipping away from the current generation.
