Second, here's SpeakerTweaker from Where Sometimes Things Go Bang. Want a quick addition to my blogroll? Say nice things about me:
Seems that there's a guy "MArooned" in a state with, how might one say, less than pleasant gun laws?
Seems this guy possess the ability to make me laugh hard enough to receive threats of violence from The Wifey if I wake up The Little Girl.
His name is Jay G, and frickin brilliant. He rants, he raves, he jokes, and can write well when the mood smacks him about the skull. Dude's good. Give him a read (and tell him I sent ya! I'm trying to get that count back out of the negative numbers. June was a lousy month for me!).
"Frickin brilliant". That's about the nicest thing anyone's ever said. I think I'm getting all verklempt...
Lastly, the standard disclaimer™: Folks, seriously, let me know when you add me to your blogrolls. I maintain a reciprocal 'roll. Shoot me an e-mail. Leave me a comment. Drive by my house and heave a brick through a window. Errr... Just let me know!

Been reading your blog for a while now. Found you via No Looking Backwards/mASS Backwards and NES. Just added you to my blogroll over at Kevin's Korner.
Wow. Never thought I'd see the day when someone quoted ME on THEIR blog. Now I'm verklempt as well. Someone get me some tissue...
Thanks for the laugh, dude! I look forward to reading up. Now I gotta find out about those nice guns BobG says you have lying around...

Nice to be a blogroll addition!
And try not to puke when I say this but "it is not a diet. It is a lifestyle."
Kevin,
Thank'ee for the addition; I'll get you added shortly (Not only am I lazy, but I'm foolishly optimistic in that I'll wait to see if there are any other additions after posting my request...)
ST,
How could I *not* quote you? You said nice things about me... ;)
As for guns "lying around", in the Volksrepublik of MA we are required by law to keep all firearms safely locked away at all times, so there will be none of that. I do occasionally take them out of the safe to play with them, though. ;)
buck,
It most certainly is. I've been saying that I didn't want to go on a diet, because that leads to going off a diet. I had to change my diet. And it does become a way of life - even now that I'm at my "goal" weight, I still calculate my caloric intake with every morsel of food I consume.
Doing so, and keeping the intake at a sustainable level, is something I will have to do for literally the rest of my life if I want to keep the weight off.
Which I do. I enjoy being able to take my shirt off at the beach. I like having to look through a pile of new clothes for the smaller size rather than the biggest one on the rack. I LOVE running into people I haven't seen in a while and watching as they struggle to remember who I am, and the shocked look on their faces when they realize it's me.
I'm a lot happier with my self-image, which translates into more self-confidence overall. Which is always a good thing...
