Guess It's My Turn...

Okay. I am officially jealous.

Looks like a good time was had by all participants at the Indy Blog Bash.

Unc's always hosting or attending some sort of TN-based gunblogger meet.

Who's interested in a Northeast Blogger meet-up? Any interest in bloggers local to New England/Northeast getting together?

I'm thinking we need to one-up the Indy meet, and rather than get together at some trendy pub, get together at a range...

Let me know if interested...

That is all.

I'm in, sounds like a hoot!

Sounds good to me but I am only licensed in MA so if it is a range it has to be around here. . .

Other than that I am in, I love the idea

well, it could be elsewhere but then I can only bring $$ for ammo = )

Woo Hoo! Two takers so far!

JD, your MA license is good for MA, ME, NH, and VT as far as I can tell as long as all firearms are unloaded and locked while in transport. It's folks from outside MA coming IN to MA that's the bitch...

Not that I don't trust you Jay G but I would have to dig a bit before I take stuff into NH without a hunting permit or anything else. . . = )

If it ends up there I will see what I can bring. But as I said, worst case I can chip in for ammo just to come meet folks. . ..

I think it would be great to actually meet these folks I have been reading about = )

Link to the state police in NH for any others that may be interested in bringing a gun into NH. . .

" would like to bring my handgun into New Hampshire, yet I don’t have a license to carry concealed. How may I carry?

You may carry unloaded in your vehicle. Be sure that the ammunition is separate from the gun.
You may carry loaded on your person. The weapon needs to be fully exposed. For example, it may not be concealed by a shirt or a jacket, or located in a backpack.
You may carry unloaded and concealed on your person, so long as you do not possess any ammunition on your person.
Please refer t0 RSA 159 for additional information
"

Or you could pony up the $20 for the NR permit like I did... ;)

How long did it take to get the permit?? I was thinking that was best for $20. . .

Man you can tell your not dealing with MA for that price. . .

It took maybe two weeks for my renewal, but from what I've heard lately it's more like a month. Better get started!

Jeff (Alphecca) and I have recently been discussing this very thing. He's got Sundays off.

And, oh yeah, I'm in.

Sundays sounds good to me. . .

Sundays fine. Manchester Firing line offers a line of shooty goodness, especially for those of us in the throes of getting our license from The Man.

Bruce,

Excellent. The range I have in mind is just perfect for the occasion... :)

Sunday would work for me as well.

Ted,

Trust me on this one - the range we're looking into is MUCH better than MFL, and there's PLENTY of ordnance to go around... :)

I'm in, if my lowly LJ counts as a "Blog"

I personally call myself a blogger

Borepatch said...

Jay, count me in. Being (shall we say) "Stuck in Massachusetts" I'll need to borrow ordnance, but happy to spring for ammo.

BTW, your "Blog Bash" idea has finally got me to get off my lazy butt and start my blog. Thanks for the push.
