No Place...

Okay, so the latest news from the Stupid Party is that some numbnuts made up a handful of buttons joking about Obama and the White House.

Poor taste, to say the least; bigoted, possibly. Stupid? Absolutely.

The worst part is simply that there is ZERO need for it. There's plenty of reasons to oppose Obama from rational, defensible conservative positions. His foreign "policy" suggestions (remember them joking about George Bush's foreign policy experience being that he ate at IHOP? Yeah. It wasn't all that funny then, and certainly less so now with Obama as the Demo frontrunner) have the earmarks of the Carter years of appeasement; his domestic/economic plans are socialist bordering on communist; his positions and record on the Second Amendment alone show that he is no friend of the Constitution.

Knock off the racist shit. Seriously. There is absolutely NOTHING to gain from it, and plenty to lose - we know the media is actively seeking for reasons to paint the GOP as racist, and a potential Obama loss as evidence of massive racism. Don't feed the trolls. And if you are a piece of shit racist, fuck off and die. We don't need you or want you in the party.

At least I don't.

That is all.

Ditto.

Yes, there are people who will never vote for Obama because of the color of his skin, and that is bad.

We also know that there are people who have/will vote for him precisely because of the color of his skin; let me know when you see that condemned in the MSM.

Nit-picking aside, actions like the ones you noted are beyond the pale. I abhor political correctness and can't stand people who are so uptight that they're offended by every scintilla of evidence that could come their way....but, this isnot one of those cases. Rather, stupid people doing stupid things. Add in a huge dose of double-standards put in place in our society and you have minor case of doing more harm than good.

I'm more interested in Obama's apparent ignorance of many issues, though. With the other choice being John McCain, I'm seriously considering the notion of sitting this election out. I don't dislike either person, I just don't want to see either in the oval office - especially Obama, who is truly acting the role of freshman senator.

Cripes, fighting terrorism using the pre-9/11 tactics? How dumb can you get? [don't answer]

Good point. If we stick to the issues, we should be able to easily beat Obama. We can laugh about it later!

Great site, BTW. I feel your pain, I'm a right-winger living in NYC.

I think there has been too much of a big deal made out of those buttons. I heard that the guy only sold 4 of them and 2 of those were to reporters.

Personally I'd like to have one of the other two. That is going to be some kind of collectible when Obama is sworn in.

Obama has a pre-9/11 mindset and we need more of that. The post 9/11 mindset is what has given us the "you can't get on a plane because you have a picture of a gun on your tshirt" kind of shit.

I am ready for the country to become the land of the free and the home of the brave once again (even if it does mean universal health care) :-)

Buck,
Let me set the record straight. When it comes to Barak Obama, I'd sooner gouge out my eyes with a red-hot fireplace poker than case a vote for the man. His policies are bordering on hard-core socialism such to the point that Joe Stalin is cheering him from the grave. That said, if you believe Obama is the best man for the oval office, vote for what you believe. I happen to believe otherwise. Moving on . . . .

There's nothing "free" about universal health care. Cost issues aside, and those are certain to be serious, please show me the constitutional clause which makes healthcare a naturally imbued right which also is allowed to be provided by the federal government. And pay heed . . . rights listed in the constitution are codified so as to be protected. They are NOT granted by the constitution, as many on the left of the American political landscape would have you believe. [/soap box rant]

Really?
I'd rather kill the terrorists before they get a chance to act out. I'd rather kill every last one of them. I thought we'd tried the pre-9/11 stuff and that's what gave us, er, 9/11. Then again, 9/11 has become a punch-line amongst some of the Dem spokespeople and supporters, so I can understand why they'd rather forget that it ever happened.

I know, they're "over 9/11".

And I guess all those folks who complained about our not being diligent enough (see: Jersey Girls, Richard Clarke, etc) during the leadup were just kidding all along. Interesting how things like that keep happening.

I guess, if the polls are to be believed, that we can soon look forward to John Edwards defending some of those terrorists in a court room, instead, during their appeals hearings a few decades after they've blown up another pizza parlor.

Hope! Change!

Awesome......can't wait to pay for it all. My family certainly didn't deserve the money.....

We don't have to pay for anything do we? Why can't we just keep printing money the way we have been doing for the last 8 years and see what happens? Increase spending as much as humanly possible and give tax breaks to everybody. 9 trillion dollar debt. 18 trillion dollar debt. What's the difference? Just put it on the tab and keep the drinks coming.

According to Republicans that is the sure way to fiscal health and they are the party of fiscal sanity. Right?

Come on guys. This country has spent 8 years defending the indefensible. Why extend it 4 more years?

At least with Obama in there we can all bitch about a Democrat. Haven't the Republicans made a big enough mess for you yet?

FDR and Churchill are probably sitting next to Stalin cheering Obama on!!

World War II was Socialism vs Communism. We sided with the Communists. Maybe now we are finally about to bring our dreams to fruition.

I see where McCain is offering a 300 million dollar prize for a new battery. I bet it ain't Cindy's money.
