Researchers: By 2048, every American could be at least slightly overweight
NEW YORK - If the trends of the past three decades continue, it’s possible that every American adult could be overweight 40 years from now, a government-funded study projects.
The figure might sound alarming, or impossible, but researchers say that even if the actual rate never reaches the 100-percent mark, any upward movement is worrying; two-thirds of the population is already overweight.
Four words here, folks: Not. All. Of. Us.
I've been there. I ain't goin' back.
That is all.

I guess that any idiot with a straight edge can extend a trend line.
In all probability by 2048 I will be dead.
Jay, don't be so sure.
They'll simply re-adjust the parameters and boom, we're all classified as fat, epidemic declared, diet control implemented to save us from ourselves.
In 2048 I would be 96 years old; if I can live that long I'd be happy to be fat...
What they seem to forget is that humans are trending towards taller and heavier as nutrition gets better.
This is also being noted in other parts of the world where as their economy improves and the residents are able to eat things like beef and drink things like milk. As their diet improves, they get taller and heavier.
Apparently one thing that progressives hate is when people actually, you know, progress.
I heard the Global Warming causes weight gain.
Well, I'm sure I heard it *somewhere*.
I better cut back on the beer & pizza.
