Open Invitation for New Shooters
Just want to extend an open invitation to all potential new shooters in the Northern Virginia area. If you have never shot a firearm, or would like to get back into the shooting sports, or are an accomplished shooter who'd like to try something in my arsenal, give me a shout.
New shooters get range time, targets, gun use and ammo on me. I've even got extra eye and ear protection - all you have to do is show up.

Now, when are we getting together to fling lead?
I just found out that my club allows clay targets on the pistol range. 25 yard berm.
Picked up a case at WallyWorld.
I'm hoping to pick up something Saturday night at the GOAL Banquet with which to practice breaking said clays on Sunday...
Just sayin' is all...

Congrats on the New Shooter!
As for shotgun, I suggest a 20 guage, light trap loads, and reactive targets (clays on the ground, plastic bottles, balloons....) outdoors, at least at first. I started my 11 yo daughter that way. She made the trap team this year, and beat two boys her age at a 4-H trap shoot.
