It's a little-known fact that George Thorogood's cover of Bo Diddley's "Who Do You Love" has been proven to be more effective at waking up sluggish commuters than a cup of coffee.
Plus it doesn't spill all over the console when you hit a pothole.
(It also didn't hurt that they followed it up with "Nobody's Fault"...)
That is all.

For Mr. Thorogood's works, my fave is hands down "I Drink Alone", but I must say I rather like his cover of Muddy Water's "I'm Ready"
'tis a good wake-up-call
Arrrrrr
BTW, thought of you this morning when traffic was being held up because some young bimbette was more intent on typing something on her iPhone than navigating her CRV.....
I was beside her for a bit and I was tempted to flag her to roll her window down so I could say somthing snyde.
I resisted all temptation.
Did you know it's impossible to either go to sleep or even stay sleepy when listening to fifties-style R&B like Bo Diddley or Chuck Berry?
Really. Proven fact. Scientifically tested.
weer'd,
My fave Thorogood tune is, bar none, his cover of "Move It On Over". I have been pulled over by Johnny Law no less than three times because of that rendition...
I got cut off this morning by a STATE COP running a red light. He made a right-on-red even though I happened to be COMING THROUGH THE INTERSECTION at the time. I rode up on his ass, saw the MA SP plate (it was an unmarked Dodge Charger) and flashed the lights anyways.
I was spoiling for a fight this morning...
wolfwalker,
I'd believe that, hands down...
