Got the new AC/DC CD "Black Ice" playing on the laptop (KICK. ASS.)
Overheard from the family room, where my two lovely children are playing Nintendo together:
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[BabyGirl G] I don't know how!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[Me, thinking] Either click the damn button or shut the damn game off
[Me] Guys, if you can't play the game nicely together, shut it off please.
[The Boy]
[The Boy]
[The Boy] Click it! Click it! Click it! Click it! Click it! Click it! Click it! Click it!
[BabyGirl G] {starts crying]
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[The Boy] Click it!
[Me] ENOUGH!
Yes, the fun never ends when you're a parent...
That is all.

Yep. Same thing here.
I just outlawed Wii usage for the rest of the day thanks to a near brawl over Carnival Games.
I'd love to tell you that it gets better, but that would be less than truthful.
epi,
Ours was MarioKart. We haven't succumbed to the Wii phenomenon (although our resolve is weakening) yet, so my poor deprived chillens make do with an ancient Gamecube.
The horror.
I am reminded daily how many of The Boy's friends have a Wii *and* a PS3.
One of these days I'm going to buy an Atari 2600 on eBay and make him play *THAT*...
Dieter,
Yeah, I don't see much hope for improvement for another 15 years or so... :-|
Jay, we love the Wii. It's the only real system we have.
We do have what looks like a modern day replica of an Atari 2600 with about 40 games installed on it. The kids LOVE it. You'd be shocked how many hours I spent playing against my son at Pitfall or Break Out.
Good stuff :)
