BOSTON -- Philip Markoff, the man accused of being the "Craigslist Killer," was reportedly placed on suicide watch Thursday after correction officers found shoelace marks on his neck, according to 7NEWS sources.
Law enforcement sources said that Markoff had been moved from the general population at Boston's Nashua Street jail to a segregated unit.
There is a very simple - and elegant - solution to this dilemma: Leave 'im with 20-30 feet of rope, shut the cameras off, come back in an hour. If he's failed to do the right thing, make sure his "escape" fails - ideally in a hail of bullets that make NY cops go "DAMN!"...
Put him down like the rabid animal that he is, post haste please...
That is all.

I like your thinking.
G. Gordon Liddy had a similar answer:
"Lock him in a closet with a loaded gun and tell him to do the right thing."
The only problem with Liddy's solution is that the creep might miss himself and endanger others. Maybe if it was a kevlar lined closet it would be ok.
I have one question: How solid is the evidence against this guy? If he's clearly guilty, then lock 'im up and melt down the key ... but the police have been known to get it wrong, sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose.
Jay,
As much as my initial visceral reaction is the same as yours, I have to side with WolfWalker on this one . . . we are (supposed to be) a nation of laws, and if we take law into our own hands, we descend into anarchy. No thanks. Let the process work. And hope the cops didn't do something stoopid like f*ck-up a 4th amendment search.

The evidence is pretty damning so far - the gun used in the killing was found in his apartment; his fingerprints were found all over the hotel room where she was killed.
Now, granted, the media could certainly be getting a lot wrong here; I'm one of the very first people to jump all over them for getting things wrong.
Maybe more will come out to exonerate Markoff, but I wouldn't bet on it...
Didn't I read that the police claimed they found the victim's underwear at the suspect's home? They claimed he kept them as a trophy.
If those underwear exist then it's either an amazing coincidence or he is involved one way or another.
Lots of guys keep their gun and panty collection inside a hollowed out copy of Gray's Anatomy. What's wrong with that?
Scumbag. This is why, however, you will NEVER find this massage therapist advertising on Craig's List or doing outcalls for strangers. Never, ever, ever. End of story.
I never trust what the media says about anything anymore. Especially about a high-profile criminal case. They don't just get it wrong sometimes, lately, they have been getting it wrong every time.
I'm with wolfwalker. Let it all come out in a courtroom in front of a jury.
