Au Revoir...
See you in sunny FLA folks, provided the big metal bird doesn't crater back to earth as a monumentous gravity FAIL...
Hoping to post more later today once I get to the hotel room and get things squared away. I'm biting the bullet and opting for the ten beans a day for in-room internet access and dragging the Eee along (if all goes well, I might even have a post at least composed in the air!). The plan is to have a mix of pre-loaded posts and live (almost) Disney blogging, with pictures and a synopsis of the day's events.
We shall see - the best-laid plans of mice and men, etc.
In any case, blogging will be lighter-than-usual for the week and certainly less topical and more self-introspective. But on the plus side, I foresee many cute kid pics - and tomorrow, hopefully, an AAR of the Orlando mini-blogger meet!
For now, though, I gird my loins and brace to meet the enemy in battle...
That is all.

Ye ghods, Jay's done fallen to the Dark Side. Quoting from a Peter, Paul, & Mary song ...
have fun, Jay! And no, gravity will not let you down* today. Say hi to Mickey for me.
*heh, punny.
Jay,
Let's not forget today's importance. Sixty five years ago today, hundreds of thousands of very brave young men were sent into the belly of the beast on the beaches of Normandy in France. Sixty five years ago today, the liberation of Europe began. Far too many of those gallant young men met their untimely and horribly violent deaths on those beaches and in the hedgerows. Let us not forget their sacrifice so that we can be here today as {mostly} free men & women. Take a moment, remember their sacrifice. Even Walt Disney made a contribution to the war effort, making animated shorts for the War Department. 1941 - 1945 was a lean time for his company, and he made the shorts essentially for free.
Jay, have fun, stay safe, and most of all forget The Rat. This trip is not about The Rat. Revel in your kids' excitement, in their sheer joy. This week will certainly by chock full of moments you & Mrs.G will never forget.
- Brad
That would not be a gravity FAIL. Gravity would keep right on pulling toward the center of mass. You would just be caught up in it.
Vaya con dios, Jay.
Have fun at the mouse's house. No international incidents.
I didn't know you were inviting mini-bloggers. Heh. See you tonight!
Hey Jay;
Gun show in Tampa this weekend.
Jay liveblogs from Disney, and I reply from the Cub Scout overnight at the PawSox game... Ain't technology grand?
Remember: Deep breaths!
Everything will go smoothly, I so decree.
Hope you and the family have loads of fun!
Have a lovely time!
