Well, it looks like things are shaping up for a nice little informal meeting of bloggers in central FLA during my impending visit to the land of the mouse. Right now we've got:

meeting me at Downtown Disney for an evening of adult libations.
(And since I'll be fresh off a plane ride with two small children, I'll be ready to consume a few frosty malt beveraged...)
The plan right now is to meet at Fulton's Crab House in Downtown Disney at 8:00 PM. Robb has generously agreed to call for reservations, so if you could let him or me know if you will be attending, that will help immeasurably...

Having been to Fulton's twice, I can say wihtout reservation it's a great spot. The staff is excellent, the food good, the atmosphere very nice. You'll enjoy.

Bummer on the missed connection. I'll be in Orlando from 2 July through the 5th.
A tight schedule to be sure, but there's always time for a brew.
Then, I've the long drive back to Galvetraz, pulling a trailer full of the Dadster's tools and antique camping gear.
Some cool gunstuff, too.

Thanks for the recommendation! Robb, Greg and I hashed it out yesterday, and the conclusion was reached taht Fulton's was accessible, easily spotted, and had seafood... Glad to hear we chose wisely... :)

There's a point alright. I dunno which I'd rather take my chances, tho' - an ill-tempered mallard or a gun blogger... ;)

Charlotte is going to be a *lot* of fun. It's going to be the first time I've been kidless for more than 24 hours since... well... ever.
I imagine staying up late and sleeping in will be the order of the day, as well as tempting fate to see how much beer I can drink before my gout cripples me... ;)

Why don't you get your Florida license? It's very handy (23 states IIRC), e.g. when I went to Shootrite this February, I was legal all the way down I-65.

I thought about it. Thing is, I'm going to be on Disney property like 98% of my time in FLA. I'm also going to be with my GFW wife.
I don't feel like jumping through all the hoops - and expense - of the FL NR permit so I can leave my gun locked in the in-room safe the entire trip...
Now, when I'm in NC next year, that's an entirely different story...

1) open carry is legal here in NC...
2) ill make sure we are in touch long before may... im hoping that we can get a bunch of the internet guys together for a good time... uncle and linoage live only about 2 hours away... sebastian is about a days drive... the central FL guys are about a days drive away... and i know some of the AZ guys are gonna come out... caleb is about a days drive away too...
its gonna be a blast i know that much...
