And juuuuust happened to snag the little case the Eee lives in when not in use...
So right now I'm blogging from the safety of my bedroom, far away from our "guests"... I've got coffee, the internets, and The Penguins of Madagascar playing in the background. I may never leave... Well, at least until the battery starts to run low...
That is all.

Yeah, but the battery lasts for hours ...
I pity you, bro.
My Buddy from work's BIL is freeloading at his house this weekend, with his wife, and 8 kids, and one of the kids is married and has a newborn....
All I have to say about that scenario... FUCK THAT!
Ouch! Yeah, pray for an 8 hour battery...
now you need an iPhone! Even more stealthy!
I must say, I do so love my seashell.
Day I got it, I cracked it open and went to 2 gig, now I can have a couple dozen tabs open at once with no problem.
Now you've got me wondering: is that where that particular netbook got its name? The sound you make when the battery runs down and you lose that particular method of evading the In-Laws?
Borepatch,
True dat. I just wanted a moment's respite, though. So it held up admirably.
Heath,
This was just a brief visit; it really wasn't putting us out all that much. 8 kids, one with a newborn? Oh HELL no...
Old NFO,
I haven't even tweaked the power settings yet and I can get 3+ hours out of the Eee as it is. I figure if I maximize the power savings features and such I should be able to bump that up to at least 4...
Breda,
I dunno - that's supporting the evil Mac empire, and I don't know if I could forgive myself for that...
(I'm kidding; I've had plenty of people who worship at Steve Jobs' feet tell me I shouldn't support the evil MS empire...)
Chris,
That's something I've been thinking about doing, although I haven't run into too much trouble with my 1 gig. I'm intentionally keeping the machine very lean, only loading Avast so far, and it seems to be okay.
wolfwalker,
That comment literally made me LOL.
Heh.
