Here's a story tailor-made to burn up the Internet: A soldier is objecting to his deployment to Iraq because he believes President Obama wasn't born in the United States.
Conspiracy theories about where Mr. Obama was born abound in some quarters despite the fact that the Obama campaign posted the then-candidate's Hawaiian birth certificate online last year. Skeptics call the certificate a forgery, though their claims have been repeatedly debunked.
Can we please, please drop this crap? It's fine for Alan Keyes to be pushing this line - he's searching for a reason to remain relevant - but for the rest of us, can we please just let it go? There's not a snowball's chance in hell that these rumors are going to be proven true; 0bama is, unfortunately for our country, here to stay. Besides, even if he were removed from office, that would leave us with {SHUDDER} President Biden...
I just wish the national media were as quick to debunk the BUSH WUZ AWOL claims as they were at debunking the 0bama birth certificate stories...

but man it would be freaky if it actually worked out to be true somehow. 200 years from now historians will look at the post election disqual as one of the weirdest things to ever happen to the Republic.

At least then the late night talk show hosts could start making jokes about a President, again (apparently, man-on-man love is okay if it's the black guy, not okay if it's the white goofball).

I am going for it. The dems took crazy to 10. I am taking it to 11. Fuck it, there is no reason to be rational anymore; the other side isn't and it worked for them.

Long story short, he volunteered for the duty, and so was able (as routine) to UNvolunteer. That's why the orders were revoked, but a surface glance at it makes it seem much worse than it is. Joe Pags, the local guy here (if you listen to Glenn Beck, you've heard him), said yesterday that Obama MUST have something to hide or he wouldn't have revoked the orders.
It's sheer stupidity & makes us all look like we're suffering from Bush Derangement Syndrome.
And for the record, Obama's Hawaii birth certificate matches my youngest child's Hawaii birth certificate.
Thinking about it, I'd rather have Biden as President. That aside, I agree with you about this foolishness. I also agree with you about the Bush Wuz AWOL story, which they not only didn't debunk, the Lame Stream Media helped perpetuate.
If he were to get removed from office and we got President Biden... what if something happened (or "happened") to him before he could a new VP installed?
