Six Years...

A couple of weeks ago, I got curious and started looking around my blogfather's site. Specifically, the archives. I knew I started blogging there shortly after my daughter was born. Well, a few minutes' worth of digging and I found my first post ever.

Six years ago today, I wrote my very first post. Wow...

That is all.

Oh, congrats!! You've inspired a bunch of us, to be sure. BTW -- the first post I ever read here was about you and Sunny D :)

You do turn a phrase nicely, sir!

Of all the things to be remembered for...

Then again, I did make the inimitable Ambulance Driver laugh with that one, so...

Thanks Lissa!

Specifically, the archives.

Archives are all that's left. :)

Glad to call you my buddy after, what, 10 years? Even gladder that I get to comment on your site instead of trying to maintain my own.

It's been more than 10 years, my friend - I started posting on TOL in late 1997...

That's 12 years. Half of which have been spent banging away on a keyboard other than in a bulletin board...

Twelve....wow, I guess you're right. I showed up shortly before the Lewinsky thing, so we didn't arrive all that far apart. Sheesh, time flies.

Sounds like you plan to return about the same time I do (ahem). :)

Looking forward to many more years of reading your stuff, my friend. MANY more years. And one day, one day, I'm going to meet my goal of visiting all the MLB stadiums and you & I will share some cold ones while watching the BoSox @ Fenway.

One day...
