W. T. F. ???

Someone, perhaps Marko, since this appears to be Germanic in origin, want to try explaining "Crazy Frog" to me? TheBoy mentioned seeing a "Crazy Frog Video" when he was over at a friend's house earlier this summer, and we sat down last night and did a little YouTube search on Mr. Insane Amphibian. I won't embed video (you'll thank me, trust me on this one), but a quick search yields videos like this one.

There are times when I do things with my kids that makes me feel old. This is one of them.

That is all.

Please note that I have added a new label - WTF - *just* because of this video...

CF is pretty old-skool. I remember showing that to my kid a few years back.

Just shows that there is nothing weird that won't be popular over and over.

Yup. Pretty old meme.

Not sure how it got started, but it was pretty popular in Britain before it made it across the pond.

I'm afraid I'm from the country of origin... sweden. Though in our defense, the ones to turn it into a phone signal and general sound plague were germans(it was originally just a sound made by a swedish voice actor mimicing the engine sound of a moped).

And yes I had to wiki that, wasn't sure wether we were totally responsible. :p

Geeze Jay, that's ancient history in internet years! We have a stuffed one that jiggles and makes that sound around here somewhere. I was actually thinking of bringing it to the bloggershoot if it had turned up.

I showed the first crazy frog video to a friend at work over two years ago... All I can say is that it grows on you, somewhat like a fungus. For some reason you'll be going about your day and suddenly say "Bam bam"...

BTW, my friend still blames me for losing those three minutes of his life.

I'm with Andrew. Both of my kids went through this phase, and you know how big they are now.

It gets more weird as they get older - #1 Son came home one day with Rednex, which is Swedish Techno Country (apologies to Mikael). It sounds exactly like you're thinking right now.

It's gotten worse since that. :-p

The first video from which all Annoying Frog derives:

That which has been heard cannot be unheard.

1) The frog is riding around with no motorcycle.

2) The frog is riding around with no pants and, apparently, his gerkin hanging out.

I can *never* "unsee" that video.

I have it as a ring tone for someone who I don't love too much - but have to answer the phone to - family politics!

trust me, they get the fastest response time in the Middle East when that ringtone begins.
