We're Not in Boston Anymore, Toto...

Homeowner shoots, kills intruder
According to the Halifax County Sheriff's Office, Marcell Alston was hit in the head by a man when he answered the door of his home on US 301 North near the town of Halifax around 7:30 a.m Friday morning.

At some point during the attack, Alston was also shot in the lower back. Deputies say despite being shot, Alston was able to get to his own gun and he shot the intruder - killing him.

There was apparently a long-standing grudge between the two men, and the deceased apparently decided not to heed The World's Most Dangerous Librarian's sage advice ("PULL THE TRIGGER") for when in such a confrontation. Fortunately, the intended victim did.

And, unlike MA, other states don't "discourage self-help".

Dead Goblin Count: 29

That is all.
