Friday Gun Pr0n #142

Today's gun pr0n is inspired by recent events. I assume we've all heard of mouse guns, correct? It stands to reason that the doppleganger of the mouse gun would be an elephant gun, right? But what if you merged the two for Christmas time? You might end up with a (wait for it)...

Elf Gun

Heh heh heh...

That's a North American Arms Mini-22 revolver, which has been the subject of recent scrutiny given the availability of both laser sights and bayonets from LaserLyte. It's a five-shot, single action only revolver with a 1 1/8" barrel that needs the cylinder removed to reload. It's a novelty more than anything else, one of if not the smallest guns available today and certainly the smallest gun in the G. armory. Oh, and that is the Elf On the Shelf that has produced many nights of aimless wandering around the house looking for a place in which to stash said elf...

This is one elf who's ready for the cat...

That is all.

I suppose someone will note that the elf has no eye or ear protection, and that his forearm is resting on the trigger?

He's also sweeping snow-globe-santa with the muzzle. I wouldn't be surprised to smell alcohol on the little guy's breath.

That elf is suitable size to receive a NAA mounted bayonet

You got yours in the weak-@$$ .22?!? You must not love your own life. You should have spent the extra couple bucks (and a lifetime more expense in ammo) and gotten its Magnum counterpart. Much better performance in ballistic gelatin tests, and penetration to rival the almighty FN 5.7.

{/tongue-in-cheek}

Cool little things, ain't they?

Hey, in MA beggars can't be choosers. I had a chance to buy a .22 Magnum version - for $400!

Err, no thanks...

Sister Mary Francis, $400?!?!?! What in the name of all that is Holy are people smoking up there? The Wifey threw down a touch over $200 for a .22 Mag version for our anniversary last year (BTW, coolest. Wife. Evar).

Sheesh. Well, they're still fun, if not a little skittish in the hand.
