Through the Eyes of a Child...

We got about an inch and a half to two inches of wet snow last night. It started falling as we returned from dinner out, and continued well into the night, but the ground was pretty warm and it melted almost as fast as it piled up. When we awoke this morning, the world was covered in a blanket of white, a fresh, clean slate upon which to project one's desires. And project they did - the kids were excited about building a snowman, having a snowball fight, and building a snow fort. In an inch and a half of snow.

Gotta love the positive outlook of youth...

That is all.

Yeah, my kids were like that with the snow it turned out we didn't even get. The most the forecast was for was 1", and it turns out none accumulated at all, though the school secretary did say they took the kids outside when the snow started to fall so they could at least see it.

Um... can we bottle it and sell it? Or maybe give politicians a shot of it?

Heh. Last time it snowed here in Fl ('93), I made snowmen in 1" of snow.

Midget snowmen, but snowmen nonetheless.

I'm with Sabra. I saw no snow whatsoever. My kid did, though, and they got to go play in it.

In South TX, we gotta appreciate snow when it happens. Cuz it DON'T.

Next door neighbor has a snowman who appears to be aproaching 6' tall. Looks like he used up much of his snow making it, but there it is!

Still my inner child would simply go the snowball route.

ballistics trumps sculpture.

Then again I used to make 8" snowmen and watch them EXPLODE when contacted with a snowball...
