Governor Moonbeam Rides Again...

Brown seeks governor's mansion -- or at least the office -- again

(CNN) -- You could make a serious argument that Jerry Brown is the most unconventional politician America has ever known.

On Tuesday, he's expected to defy convention again, announcing that at age 71 he's running for governor of California, an office he left almost three decades ago.

CNN surprised me - they actually called Brown "Governor Moonbeam". That's a lot more than I expected from them. What I didn't expect, though, is that Brown is currently leading the pack in CA - apparently Ahnuld's attempt at out-lefting the left didn't endear the GOP to CA voters. Go figure.

Keep an eye on this race, folks - if Brown gets in, it signals carte blanche to the full-blown loonie leftist agenda. Brown would like nothing more than the implementation of the very same socialist programs we've been fighting from the Anointed Øne; only he's only got to convince the CA legislature, rather than the entire US.

One look at Brown's supporters ought to scare any thinking American:

He's amassed a war chest of $12 million and the endorsements of Hollywood kingmakers David Geffen, Steven Spielberg and Jeffrey Katzenberg.

Toss in George Soros and you've got a true confederation of dunces...

That is all.

Not so sure.
As attorney general he did file an amicus brief supporting incorporation re NRA v. Chicago, a precurser to McDonald:

Maybe just half-blown loonie leftist.

Brown's supposed to run on the position that he's "too old to play politics" and will just fix the state with no care for the political consequences.

A compelling play, but people need to realize that it goes both ways.

He could just as easily extend the deficits, borrow, spend, sign extended contracts, and bow out with no care for the political consequences.

It's been almost 30 years since Brown was governor, and we are STILL feeling the pain from his decisions then. The "Era of Limits" is the cause for most of California's infrastructure problems today.

Oh, and they probably called him Moonbeam as a term of endearment.

We have enough Dead Kennedys to start a band!

California Ueber Alles!
