Infuriating, Part 2

Blood-pressure raising story number two from PISSED:

Absence of U.S. flag in Haiti sparks controversy
The many nations helping Haiti recover from the devastating earthquake that struck there have set up their own military compounds and fly their flags at the entrances.

France's tricolor, Britain's Union Jack and even Croatia's coat of arms flap in the breeze.

But the country whose contributions dwarf the rest of the world's — the United States — has no flag at its main installation near the Port-au-Prince airport.

Is it an oversight that prevents the Stars and Stripes from flying over the US compound? Perhaps in our haste to spend billions of dollars and commit thousands of troops to the relief effort, the flag was forgotten? No, not even gross incompetence can explain this one. Here's the official line on why the American flag does not fly over the US compound in Haiti:

The Obama administration says flying the flag could give Haiti the wrong idea.

"We are not here as an occupation force, but as an international partner committed to supporting the government of Haiti on the road to recovery," the U.S. government's Haiti Joint Information Center said in response to a query about the flag.

And this prevents us from identifying our compound... why? Here's a newsflash for Ă˜bama administration eggheads: WE DON'T WANT HAITI. Three Texans in a rowboat could take over Haiti in an afternoon. If we wanted it, we'd have it. However, since about, oh, EVER, the United States has had no interest in occupying foreign lands. If anything, we're far more interested in how we can get the hell out.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm getting really freakin' sick of this "America: Always Wrong" attitude so prevalent among the elitist left.

That is all.

The guy goes out of his way to become president of a country, then acts embarrassed to live here. If he hates this country so much, why doesn't he move, instead of trying to convert us all to his thinking?

He does these things not because they are easy, but because they are hard.

For him they are VERY easy - anything that he can do to denigrate this country (note: certainly not HIS country) he does automatically. Not to mention the rest of the scum surrounding him.

I have to disagree with "three Texans and a rowboat".

I think it would only take one Texan, and he or she could swim there and still get the job done.
