Thought I'd give a quick impression of an impulse buy I got over the weekend. I was killing time in BJs Warehouse, and happened across a killer deal on this:It's a Logitech EX100 wireless mouse and keyboard combination. I prefer to use a separate (inexpensive) keyboard for the laptop at home, especially because small people who have no concept of "gentle" or "easy" or "don't put your cup right next to that" have been known to use the computer from time to time. I'd rather they pound away on a $15 USB plugin keyboard than the keyboard that sits on top of the CPU anyways.
Well, this combo was on clearance - just $22.50 for the pair - and I couldn't resist. Reducing the number of wires sticking out of the laptop is always a good thing, and for that price, it gives an extra keyboard and mouse kicking around for back-up. And the funny thing is, it's a darn good set-up. The keyboard is crisp and responsive; the optical mouse is easy to maneuver and doesn't wander; for what they're asking it's a helluva deal. I don't know that I'd pay much more, but then again, I am a notoriously cheap bastard...
The EX100 gets a rousing seal of approval (bark! bark!) from the MArooned Peanut Gallery.
That is all.
