I've Just Got to Say...

Even a bad day at the range beats the best day at work, hands down... Just flung several hundred rounds of .22LR, 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP downrange with commenter and friend PISSED. Got to try a few new guns (including the Kahr PM9, which just worked its way up the *WANT* list a few notches), and got to show PISSED a few of the G. armory toys - and introduced him to the wonders of the Maglula UpLULA...

And the new toy works very well, thanks - but it does need the Jay G. touch...

That is all.

Thanks Jay-G! It was a pleasure to meet you in person finally and i thoroughly enjoyed creating the smell of burnt brass and gunpowder on a rainy Sat. afternoon :) You were very gracious and I appreciated your taking the time to go have a little fun.

I will work on getting some blood pressure raising stories during the week for you! ;)

Jay...

If you like the PM9, you would also like the Bersa Firestorm 9mm. All metal pistol, lots of mass to absorb the shots. Very tame recoil.

Then you have the XD 40, which is just sweet...

Damn...when is the next bloggershoot? I gotta start planning it now if I'm going to be able to make it.

If it "needs the Jay G touch" I assume that whatever it is, you can hang a bayonet on it.

We had a decent day at the range as well. Introduced the boy to the (hopefully) joy of real rifle shooting. He's had his .22 rifle for 6 months now, but yesterday was the first time I took him up to the highpower range at our club where he could reach out past 25yrds. He wants to enter the club's .22 silhouette matches this summer so we needed to sight in his rifle at the various ranges out to 100yrds. Not sure he has the patiece yet for target shooting, even when I tried to slow him down by offered him $1 for every shot in the black out of 25 (OK, I did make it tougher by using a B3 50ft target out at 100yrds) he still rushed half of them.

Also let him take a few shots with the Garand, his first with a highpower rifle. Needless to say it took awhile after that for the grin to wear off! (both his and mine)
