Quibble: there is no such thing as a "SMLE No.4", of any Mark. "SMLE" only applies to the No.1 family.
The No.4 bayonets are not rifle specific. They will fit all No.4 rifles, and were issued without regard to the specific model.
Your "which nine rifles?" question should have been, "which eight rifles?"
Dang, knew I should have stuck to bayonet nomenclature.
Nice catch.
Anyway, I've a No 4 Mk II made in 1955 (last year of production) and the blade bayonet is of same date.
The spike bayonet (which George MacDonald Fraser hated)goes with a No 4 Mk I* made by Savage when America was the The Arsenal of Democracy.
The bayonets can, in deed, fit either rifle.
Local gun shop has a nice No.1 Mk III that is just SCREAMING for sword bayonet. Just what I need to go with my WWI American rifles.

Heh. I clean my Thompson and 1911 when watching To Hell and Back.
