Target Grips
We had a friendly (ahem) competition for the giveaway items (including a lovely holster from Dragon Leather Works and a pistol bayonet - guess where that came from!) and the holster, book, and pistol bayonet were claimed by the three top shooters. The grips were the last giveaway standing, and Zercool offered them to me for my model 17. He did ask that I post pictures with them installed, so here we are.

It's coming to the range tonight to see what kind of impact it has on the gun's shootability...
That is all.

How handsome! It's kind of a badass looking gun to begin with, anyway :)
Lissa,
On a range trip w/ Jay . . . he offered a cylinder for another shooter to try . . . they resisted trying the '17, thinking it was a magnun-thumpin-blitzen-boomer chambered for .88 f*cking ouch artillery rounds. Jay then explained it was nothing more than a .22lr with a long barrel. And the other shooter . . . he LOVED it.
Lissa,
Thanks! I have to say, while I dearly lurve my Gold Cup, this gun is probably my favorite shooter. I think I still have a sweet spot for revolvers deep down...
Brad,
Heh, I remember that. It is somewhat of an intimidating gun to start with. I need to get a nice model 14 in .38 Special and a model 29 in .44 Magnum with the 8 3/8 barrels and target grips/hammer/trigger to match.
It's good to have goals...
Christina,
"Pretty"? You *are* turning into a gun chick! :)
They feel amazing too!
BTW I'm with you Jay. My #1 favorite gun is my 5" Stainless 1911.
Close #2 is my S&W 617.
