...is over. New addition to the G. armory to be posted for this Friday's gun pr0n. I found one of my grail guns locally at a good price, and look forward to putting her through her paces this weekend. It's the biggest handgun in the G. armory, and pretty much utterly redundant. But I love it...
So, any guesses what the new addition is?*
That is all.
*Denizens of the Gunblogger Conspiracy please refrain from spoiling it...

Knowing that you're a sucker for recoil pain . . . . . .
Airweight snubbie S&W in .500 magnum ?????
I won't say if you let me shoot it! : )
Brother, you KNOW that's gotta happen...
Ooh! I know! I know!
It's a Mumble-mutter chambered in .*cough-hack* loudenboomer!
I guess right last time but not a clue this time. The .45-70 revolver in your sidebar pic?
Something big. Revolver in a big cartridge. Knowing you, your grinning and polishing it now, visions of big holes on targets dancing in your head.
I tried to cheat, but the seller edited his ad away.
Marlin Guide Gun in .450 Marlin.
For those stray T. Rex that come down 95.
Zeeke42 was on the right track... :)
But Jay,
You know that Cobras are made of fail. Why would you ever include one of these as a grail gun is beyond me. ;)
Seven-shot AirLite/Titanium L-frame hammerless in .38.
Model 29 Smith & Wesson?
I am sitting here in my quarters at Camp Ripley in Central Minnesota. National Guard's 53,000acre training facility and looking at tanks, from Shermans to M1'S and howitzers. Plus other unique items of destruction.
Bet it is a bit smaller then them!!
Tomorrow I get to train State Patrol Officers on how to self treat if they get shot, knifed or otherwise injured and help is a'coming, but might be a bit and they best know how to treat that arterial bleed in their leg, arm wherever.
Lottsa guns...and none I get to play with!!
So you just go ahead and keep your little secret...
I'm not envious, not much, maybe a little.....Okay how long til Friday??
I'm with libertyman.
A Davis derringer in .426 Rigby?
A 10" TC Contender in .500 Nitro Express?
How about a Hi Point in .400 CorBon?
A Rohm in .460 S&W?
Guess I'll just have to wait until Friday...
That's ".416"...but you knew that anyway.
I'll bet it's the Dirty Harry gun. S&W M-29-2, 6-1/2" barrel, 44Remington Magnum.
That'd be a "Holy Grail" gun in anyone's collection.
I mourn the day a decade ago, when I let mine slip through my fingers.

It's not a Model 29.
That is *definitely* one of my grail guns, to be certain; however it is not *this* grail gun...
Right frame size, though...
Jim, I think you'll approve...
A model 27?
Seriously now...
A 'registered' pre-27 .357 Magnum?
A real nice Model 57 or 58?
