CHELSEA — Two men were shot and killed inside their home early yesterday morning, shattering the holiday calm on a Chelsea street that became awash in grief, authorities said.
State and local police are investigating the apparent double homicide after the two men, said to be 25 and 26 years old, were found in the first floor of the Chester Avenue three-decker at about 2 a.m., said Chelsea police Captain Keith Houghton.

LAWRENCE (WBZ) ―One person was killed and three others were wounded in a shooting at a restaurant-nightclub in Lawrence early Monday morning.1 Dead, 2 Hurt In Malden Shootout
It happened at La Guira on Broadway around 12:45 a.m.
It's not clear yet what led to the shooting, but investigators say there was a birthday celebration in the packed restaurant before a dispute broke out.
MALDEN, Mass. (AP) ― Police say one man was killed and two others were injured in a shootout in a Malden neighborhood. That's just a quick spin through the morning news. Three different incidents, three different urban settings in MA. Four people dead, five wounded. None of the stories make mention, but I'd bet $100 that not a single firearm used in any of the shootings was legally obtained, nor possessed by someone licensed to carry a firearm in MA. More than likely, the shooters were ineligible to own firearms either through felony convictions, age, or both.
Police say they responded to Salem Street just after midnight on Tuesday and found two men lying on the sidewalk in front of a home suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds. One man was dead and the other was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
And yet the "solution" proposed to end violence involving firearms always revolves around making the law-abiding jump through more hoops. Limiting me to buying one gun a month isn't going to stop Geoffrey Gangbanger from buying a stolen Glock on the street and popping the guy who disrespected him last week. Keeping TOTWTYTR from buying a new AR-15 with a collapsible stock isn't going to make a whit of difference in keeping thugs honest. Limiting Lissa's choice of handgun for personal protection with an "Approved" roster isn't going to stop goblins from shooting people in cold blood.
Yet that's all they can do. John "AHSA" Rosenthal and his Stop Handgun Violence (I refuse to link these jackals) group crow about MA having the "toughest gun laws in America" - yet are strangely silent when a pizza delivery man is brutally knifed to death. Fatal stabbings don't give them a bloody soapbox to stand on, so those victims go unnoticed, that violence unimportant. Someone bleeding to death in an alley is only important if they were shot, not beaten or stabbed. No one calls for "Stop Knife Violence", at least not yet. No one wants to admit that it's the goon holding the weapon, not the inanimate object itself.
The bodies pile up, the vultures circle, and the law-abiding - and our freedom - suffer for it.
That is all.

what part of "I don't give a sh*t about crime, I just want your guns" -Chuck Schumer, is everyone failing to understand. The left is a violent, evil, reptillian-brained entity. If you gave them one of your guns in an effort to educate them about the fun and necessity of firearms, they'd certainly shoot you in the head.
Then blame the gun, and you, for their actions.
B-b-but how else will they make sure my gun is a SAFE gun?!?
"Is gun. Is not safe."
Oh.
Don't be fooled that knives are neglected by the hoplophobes. There's plenty of anti-knife laws on the books, and knives that were legal to own 25 years ago, such as balisongs, are now mostly illegal. Switchblade laws are still on the books most places, and every year more knives come under the catch-all of the switchblade/gravity knife laws. Small knives of the Swiss Army variety that used to be ok to carry on airplanes are now banned, thanks to the use of box-cutters by jihadis; also included in that draconian ban are nail files, crochet hooks and fingernail clippers.
Knives don't receive the approbation only because the hoplophobes haven't been successful in banning guns. In UK, where gun bans were successful, the same tactics are being used to demonize knives, and sticks aren't far behind.
