Look VERY Closely...

Look at the URL for this story:

Martha Coakley to face opponent in race for AG

Democratic Attorney General Martha Coakley, who drew national attention for her failed US Senate race against Republican Scott Brown, until recently faced no opponents in her campaign for reelection to her state office. Now, she has one.

Republican James P. McKenna, a Millbury lawyer has qualified for the Nov. 2 ballot through a write-in campaign in this week's primary election.
See it? Click the link, read the story, then look at the URL. Someone at the Globe had some fun with this story... I like how they don't even name McKenna until the second paragraph. Way to not let your bias show!

While it was a mistake on the state GOP's part to not have SOMEONE on the ballot, McKenna really stepped up to the plate with his write-in campaign. There were folks at the polling place handing out cards for the write-in even an hour before the polls closed for the night (that's when I stopped by) - and this is in a town of some 3,000 eligible voters (and when I stopped in, a tick over 600 people had actually bothered to vote).

Poor Marsha Chokely is actually going to have to wage a campaign for AG - GO JIM GO!!!

That is all.

(URL brought to my attention by blogson Colin - Thanks!)

The article doesn't confirm this (nor deny) but IIRC this is the FIRST time a candidate has ever gotten his name on a ballot via a primary write-in campaign.

That's FUCKING hard to do. Martha is not a popular woman, and a national renown loser.

She's gonna be in the race of her life against 100% GOAL rated McKenna!
