Fort Worth convenience store employee fatally wounds 18-year-old during robbery
FORT WORTH -- An 18-year-old man died Wednesday morning after police say he was shot in the chest late Tuesday by an employee of a Fort Worth convenience store that he was trying to rob.
Police suspect it was the second time that Raphael Penigar had targeted the ABC Convenience Store at 1508 Miller St. On Sept. 1, a robber crawled in a drive-through window and stole money from the register even though the store's owner was pelting him with cans of Pepsi.
It bears being said again: Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If you present yourself as being armed while robbing a store, someone might just call your bluff. And in Texas, they're likely to be packing real heat of their own. In this case, the intended victim had the means and the motivation to ventilate the robber - he was in fear for his life and acted to stop the threat.
Dead Goblin Count: 74
That is all.

I love seeing that number go up!
FYI Jay, there's something on your blog that's slowing my computers (work and home) to an absolute crawl when I come here. It takes about 3-5 minutes for it to finish loading, and another 5 minutes or so after it finishes for my computer to be really usable again. It never gets back to normal speed until I close the tab with your site. It seems to have started yesterday.
Jake,
Thanks for the info. I haven't changed anything recently (that I am aware of); however with the bloggershoot I did post a shitton of pictures. Give it a couple more days until they fall off the active page and I'll bet it gets better.
Read the comments from the article in the paper --- Ft. Worth is not Cambridge Massachusetts!
I noticed a problem with the story. They called him an "18 year old man." Shouldn't that read 18 year old child? I mean, this death is going to show up on the kids killed by guns statistics (especially with the Obamacare definition of children extending to married with children of their own 26 year olds).
