California police find missing 3-year-old boy
(CNN) -- A 3-year-old California boy who was the subject of an Amber Alert has been found safe and sound, authorities said Sunday night.
The boy, Dylan Kurihara, had been missing since Saturday after he attended a wedding with his father.
Now, if that's all you read of the story, you might wonder where the facepalm part comes in. It sounds like perhaps he wandered off at the wedding - it's not uncommon in all the confusion to lose sight of a small child for a moment, and just a moment might be all it takes. It could be something more sinister - there are monsters in this world, sadly - but in this case, it's plain old dumbassery:
Dylan and his father had gone to a wedding Saturday night, reported CNN affiliate KABC. When he did not return home, his mother reported him missing to police Sunday morning.
Police began their investigation and discovered the father had been arrested about 10:30 p.m. Saturday for public intoxication.
Nice. Dude got so drunk he forgot about his three year old son. I'm guessing that any visitation rights dad had he just lost... What's worse is that it sounds like he drove the car - with his son in it - to this parking garage while he was so hammered he forgot his own son was in the car. Dude, you have a problem. Get help before you hurt or kill someone.
And please, for the good of humanity, spay yourself - preferably with a dull power tool.
That is all.

Whisky Tango Foxtrot?
I can only imagine the mother already plans on castrating the guy with an iron skillet.
