GOP Supporter Defaces Shea-Porter Campaign Sign
And what do you think happened? Maybe he drove his car over a neighbor's lawn sign? Lit one on fire? Ripped one off a billboard?
Not quite:
But it might be surprising to learn what Nickerson did last week involving New Hampshire congressional candidate Carol Shea-Porter, a Democrat. "I went to her campaign headquarters in Manchester and asked for and received one of her signs."He asked for a sign, was given one, and changed it to match his political beliefs. He didn't destroy any property, he had someone match the font to change a sign he was given. But that's "GOP Supporter defaces Shea-Porter sign". Nope, there's no bias here at all, is there?
It was a huge 4x8 foot sign of support. But instead of posting it on his lawn, Nickerson had a sign maker alter the sign to read "Dump Shea-Porter out of Congress," and called the candidate "Nancy Pelosi's lap dog."
Gee, if only the press were as diligent in reporting things like, oh, Democrat activists slashing GOP van tires the night before the election...
That is all.

In similar vein...
Here in MD, someone down the street from me has a Mikulski campaign sign (Dem senator now running for a 5th term) - posted upside-down in his front yard, with black electrical tape on it to form the "international no" symbol.
Of course, there's a Wargotz sign next to it (her Rep opponent) - and a Tea Party sign nearby on his flagpole.
I've been waiting to learn of complaints about his signs; I haven't heard of any. And the signs appear to be undisturbed.
So - at least in my corner of the world - political discourse is alive and well.
Reminds me of the old joke about the kid who kills a rabid dog on Boston Common with his hockey stick just before it plows into a bunch of kids. The first reporter to interview him wants to run the headline "Young Bruins Fan saves schoolchildren from mad beast." The kid says he prefers the Rangers, really. The reporter then suggests "Littlest Sox fan protects city from four-legged terror." The kid complains that he's a Yankee fan at heart."
The next morning, the Herald prints "Little Bastard kills beloved family pet."
Clever guy!
It also kinda rings on the people who send back the pre-paid donation envelopes stuffed with pennies.
Not only is he supporting his candidate, he drew from his opponent's war chest!
