Original Mauser M1871/84 11mm Rifles from the movie "The Last Samurai" Starring Tom Cruise. Each “Samurai” edition Mauser M1871/84 is an original Mauser M1871/84 rifle that has been carefully cleaned, reblued, then had its receiver carefully polished as the original examples were. Minor parts such as the extractor, ejector and cutoff levers were replicated, as were the stocks and magazine tubes. The trigger guards were painted gold on-set as well to better recreate the on-screen look desired by the Director. These guns are in good condition, bearing the nicks and scratches from use in the film.$400, though. On the one hand, it's so old it doesn't need an FFL. On the other hand, how hard is it to find 11mm ammo? Then again, how often do you get a chance to actually own a working firearm used in a Hollywood movie? Even better, a Hollywood movie where Tom Cruise dies at the end?
It'd still be cool as hell to pick up, I've gotta admit.

I already have enough weapons in outdated, hard to find, expensive calibers! But you're right it is tempting.

I have no interest in those old Mausers. Do have a gun that used to be at Stembridge Rental and may have been in a Matt Helm, and possible a James Bond flick.
Buffalo Arms will sell you 11mm Mauser (.43 Mauser) ammo for $73 a box.
Gad Custom has them for $48 a box.
So, yes, you can get 'em, but you won't like what it costs.
...and then tack on shipping costs (stupid DOT HAZMAT fees) and $73 becomes $90. Thank you, no. I already have a hard enough time getting 7.63 Mauser for my C96 for less than $.75 a round.

Claims to have it at $63 for a 20rd box. I have also seen new brass for handloading in that caliber.
