First World War officially ends
The First World War will officially end on Sunday, 92 years after the guns fell silent, when Germany pays off the last chunk of reparations imposed on it by the Allies.Well, I'm glad that's settled. Now we just need to discuss the settling of that little unpleasantness in the '30s and '40s and we can close out the 20th century. At least as far as Germany is concerned...
The final payment of £59.5 million, writes off the crippling debt that was the price for one world war and laid the foundations for another.
Now, Japan, it's about time we talked about all those Hondas and Sonys you've been selling...
That is all.

Now, if only England would pay off the last of the loans we made to them for WWII.
North Korea is still technically "hot".
Yo Hoo, Russia! How about all that gear we sent on the Murmansk Run? Pay for it yet, or are they claiming it was just reparations from the Capitalist Pigs for the centuries of Exploitation of the Workers by the Ruling Elite?
