Disturbing, To Say The Least

Dem Pollster: Obama Needs an Oklahoma City Bombing to Reconnect With Voters…

I'm guessing (hoping) that this is similar to Deval Patrick's "It's a free country, I wish it weren't" comment, where it was a verbal misstep taken out of context. I sincerely hope that Mark Penn is not calling for an Oklahoma City type tragedy for President Øbama to have a chance to "connect" with the American people; I hope that he meant that it would take something of that magnitude to get the President back on track.

It is rather curious that they use Oklahoma City rather than 9/11. We're seeing more stories of "militias" - like we did during the Clinton years when "right wing hate radio" was "responsible" for OK City. It dovetails nicely with Øbama's assertion that we (those on the right) are "enemies" - we are not simple political opposites, we are the enemy. That's not the kind of talk one expects from the leader of the country. Wishing that we had a catastrophic event to bring this kind of "leader" to connect with the people is frightening to say the least.

It gets harder and harder to shrug off Øbama's actions as mere arrogance rather than deliberately anti-American the more he and his minions open their mouths.

That is all.

Can't remember where, but I saw this posted elsewhere by someone who pointed out that Obama *did* get an event like that: Fort Hood. And his reaction was to give shout-outs.

Fort Hood was perpetrated in a "gun-free zone" by a radical islamofascist. As much as Øbama would have liked to have used that, it would have highlighted the terrorist threat we face that is NOT angry white male gun owners...

thanks for sharing the rage here. As if something like that should ever be hoped for in the interest of helping a president's reputation. I'll probably have to post on this myself when I stop seeing red. I suppose this hits a little close to home for an Okie who will never forget feeling it shake and seeing terrible cloud over downtown Okc with her own eyes.
