Deputies: Confronted jogger fatally shoots man
Attacked by multiple attackers? You bet that's a reason to employ deadly force. Unless and until there's reason to suspect otherwise, this certainly sounds like a clean shoot - dude's out for a evening run and gets jumped by two goblins, he's got every right to defend himself. Often joggers/folks out for exercise are targeted by muggers because they're likely to have expensive personal audio equipment on their person; it sounds like this may have been the case.TAMPA - A man out for his regular nightly jog in Town 'N Country shot and killed someone who confronted him early this morning, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Thomas Baker, 28, said he was out running and was confronted by two males wearing dark clothing near Pinehurst Drive and Hickory Circle, deputies said.
After being punched by one of the males, Baker pulled out his .45-caliber handgun and shot one of them several times in the upper torso, deputies said.
Too bad for the goblin - but not the DGC - that his intended victim had something even more expensive than an iPod - a .45.

Back when my bad ankles could handle routine jogging, I carried my 1911.
Since I'm getting out of shape I'm thinking about getting a bicycle as my ankles still can't handle a run.
I am looking into ways to conceal a pistol in plain sight to the handle bars. Probably strap a conceal carry fanny pack to them or something.

T Minus 37 days and counting to get the final 9. But with the Holidays and people out shopping, there should be a good chance of achieving the Goal. After all, Goblins will just be looking at the packages in the people's hands when they accost them in the parking lot, and not the snub nose in the coat pocket, right?
