Little Clarification...

Several folks have brought to my attention that it appears the Dead Goblin in story #83 appears to have been shot by his partner, rather than the homeowner. After much deliberation and soul-searching, I'm going to leave the count where it is - the homeowner did fight back with a firearm and there is a dead goblin. It's certainly in keeping with the spirit with the DGC - armed citizens dispatching criminals using their personal firearms. There's no question that the homeowners did use their weapon to repel the invaders, and the manner in which the goblin actually perished isn't quite as important.

Besides, maybe the police were trying to spare the homeowners the trouble of a civil suit... ;)

That is all.

And if the goblins will shoot each other, it saves the homeowner no end of paperwork.

Perhaps if we try to publicize and promote this concept of the bad guys shooting each other, it might become a trend????
Perhaps even a movement?

Oh absolutely Jay. After all, it is a dead goblin count and we have a dead goblin. I agree with you that it shouldn't matter how he got that way. He went in to do mayhem and harm to innocent people and got justice. The man behind the executioner's mask shouldn't be an issue.

Another thought was the homeowner's fire caused Goblin A to miss and dispatch Goblin B (or should that be "D" for dead"?).

It is possible, therefore, that the homeowner's fire is (indirectly) responsible for the dispatch.

But as you say, good guys fighting back, bad guys dying -- it counts

Hey, like they say in the sports world, a win is a win!

In addition publicizing this story may give other goblins out there more incentive to consider a career change. For a goblin it's bad enough to be shot by a potential victim but it's worse to be shot by your own co-conspirator.
