Robbery Suspect Shot, Killed By Pizza Delivery Driver

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Metro police said a pizza delivery driver shot and killed a man who attempted to rob him Friday night.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. in the Arbors of Brentwood apartment complex on Brentwood Terrace. Police said three men tried to hold up a Jet's Pizza delivery driver at gunpoint as he was going back to his car after a delivery.

Sometimes you get the wallet. Sometimes you get a chest full of lead. That's the problem with not playing by the rules - when you refuse to abide by the norms by which society is governed, your actions may force those around you adversely affected by your choices to react accordingly. And ventilate your worthless hide.

Dead Goblin Count: 98

That is all.

Unfortunately, the guy is likely to be fired, but I think he can live (literally and figuratively) with that.

My husband spent 10yrs working as a pizza delivery driver. Although he's a big guy (6'2" 250lbs) he admits that to being the only period in his life when he would have wished to be able to carry a gun at all times. Unfortunetly the company has a policy about employees carrying weapons, so even if he'd had a CC permit he'd have not been allowed to. He never had a situation like this, but they happen just often enough to make me very glad he's no longer delivering pizzas!
