Don't Look Now...

But Guns, Holsters, and Gear has another review from that pantsless wonder in FLA...

This time Robb reviews three different brands of .380 ACP ammunition through his P3AT, a gun he describes as having:
...the ergonomics of a poorly designed brick, a 5 lb. trigger with a break like snapping a green twig, and due to the fact I can barely get a single finger on the grip, it jumps around like a Jack Russell Terrier on a methadone kick.

Heh. He brings the snark, that one.

Anyway, go read the review - snark aside, Robb does a pretty comprehensive job of cataloging the different brands for velocity, accuracy, and energy. .380 ACP ammo has been pretty scarce, so until recently folks were more concerned about simply finding it than with which was the best brand for practice. Hopefully those days are behind us as more and more .380 pocket rockets hit the shelves and ammo manufacturers increase production to meet demand.

In any case, there's a good round-up of inexpensive ammo from Robb - go take a look.

That is all.

I sometimes wonder if the Euroweenies had it right when they made most of those pocket autos in .32 ACP. We did, too, here in the US, the old Colts and Savages were more often in .32 ACP than in .380. Easier to control, and since the inclination with these small calibers is to empty the magazine into an assailant, maybe using the one that is easier to control is the right way to go.
