We... Have... 100!!!

PISSED sent the magical DGC #100 to me via e-mail:

Police identify robber killed in St. Petersburg holdup turned shootout
ST. PETERSBURG — Police have identified two men who burst into a St. Petersburg game parlor wielding guns Tuesday night and wound up in a shoot-out. One was killed, the other wounded. At least one customer was also shot.

The biggest question was still unresolved Wednesday morning: Who shot whom? Police say it all happened very quickly.

Walk into a place and announce a holdup, get yourself shot. This is a plan I can wholeheartedly endorse - for goblins. The only "question" from the story is the identity of the customer who did the shooting - he didn't stick around for questioning, which is rather unusual but still does not detract from the nature of the event. Two goblins enter an establishment with the intent of committing armed robbery, someone resisted with their own firearm. One goblin dead, one in jail, no customers dead.

Sounds like a pretty fair exchange rate to me...

Dead Goblin Count: 100

That is all.

Century mark is a good thing, but the good guy in this scenario has made a mistake, I think.

I seem to recall advice that it's best to contact your lawyer and the police as soon as possible when involved in a shooting, so as to get your side of the story out there as quickly as possible.

Perhaps there was a reason the interlocutor didn't want police attention?

I'm thinking this is another of those situations where nobody saw nuthin' regarding who shot the bad guys. Maybe not the best way for things to play out, but considering the totality of the situation I'll be able to sleep tonight. Here's hoping the shooter will.

stay safe.

Probably was a prohibited person, or didn't have a conceal license, or some other reason. Was this gaming establishment legal?

We have 100! Everybody gets a free Bojangles Biscuit! (Anybody who has been a Carolina Tarheel Basketball (Praise Be Unto Them) fan will recognize that reference, though they don't do it anymore...)

"he was registered as a career offender, a designation given to a select group of convicted felons who present a threat to the community"

Then WRF was he out walking the streets for after just 9 yrs in prison, being arrested "at least nine times in Florida on charges including robbery, possession of cocaine and sexual battery"? Did you think he was going to have a career change and become a florist or something?
