Go Take a Read...

Robb reviews the Taurus 709 SLIM for Guns, Holsters, and Gear.

Taurus, not being on the "Approved Firearms Roster" are pretty alien to me. I had a Taurus .44 Special many years ago that seemed to be a fair clone of the N-frame Smith, but I have no experience with their bottom feeders. Robb does an excellent job of documenting the good and the bad, and if you're looking for an inexpensive small, slim 9mm, the 709 definitely warrants consideration.

Go, read now. Thank later.

That is all.

You forgot to spit.

I've been fairly happy with my Taurus PT-145 - it's sensitive to limp wristing (not unusual for a short barreled .45), there's some ammo it doesn't like (it won't run Wolf ammo, for instance), but otherwise it's more accurate than I am and it's easy to carry and conceal while still giving me 10+1 rounds of .45ACP goodness.
