More Autobominations...

Commenter notDilbert, upon seeing my Jagwagon vs. Porsche sedan hatefest, sends me this:

That sound you just heard was me throwing up a little in my mouth. Ferraris are NOT supposed to be four passenger cars! They're definitely not supposed to be hatchbacks. They're CERTAINLY not supposed to look like BMW Z3 coupes with a red paint job and a prancin' pony on the hood...

Ugh. That spinning sound you hear is Enzo in his grave...

That is all.

Next up: the Ferrari SUV ...

I don't know; that's kinda got an early XKE vibe working to it. What you may be hearing is Enzo vomiting violently, not spinning. :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the BMW resemblance.

BP,
Why not? Lambroghini built an SUV in the late 80's, early 90's. V12 powered SUV.

W.V. --> bancar. We need to ban this car because it belches out too much carbon dioxide.

How can Ferrari, a company with a decades-long history of building stunningly beautiful cars, come up with that enormous eyesore? The only reason I can think of is they don't want to [sarcasm] cut into the massive sales of the Maserati Quattroporte [/sarcasm]. I didn't think it's be possible for ANYONE to design a four-seater luxury car that's uglier than the Panamerica, but Ferrari has proved me wrong.

Dear Ferrari: Hire the team that designed this, and quickly.

You've got it all wrong. I love this idea. Now I can go to a dealer with my wife and argue about the practicality of owning a Ferrari, "but honey ... there's room for the kids!"

A Ferrari... with 4 seats... and 4-wheel drive... and a hatchback?!?!?!?

BLASPHEMY!

Saw the pic and said "Looks like one of those abomination Z3 coupes" before I scrolled down to read Jay's text.

Nothing wrong with shooting brakes. In fact they're my favorite body style. I would love to have one of these, or a Aston DB9 shooting brake.

Heard that the E.U. is imposing their version of C.A.F.E. standards, and if the Supercar companies want to stay alive, they need to put out Crapmobiles. Wait until you see the Porsche Hybrid!

Wow that does look like a bucket full of assholes, doesn't it?

Actually, the lines are very reminiscent of the old 250 GTO "Breadvan".

I've always had a little bit of a soft spot for that bizarre Kamm back profile...

They ripped off CHRYSLER??

Sheesh, what's the world coming to when Ferrari of all people tries to re vamp a failed mopar?

Bubblehead Les ...

Both Porsche and Ferrari have already come out with Prototype Hybrids ......

They are specficly designed to "game" the EU CAFE fuel Ecomomy test, so that they run the test cycle almost entirely on battery power..... and as a result both versions get rating of 85+ MPG ..... and still do 180 mph + and can do 4 sec 0 - 60.

........of course projected price is $300k + each ..

You see, this is for all the emasculated men that married the women that wanted to put their career first. Now they are hitting midlife crisis, but they've still got to take the kiddo to soccer practice.

"Ugliest station wagon. Ever."

Hate to break it to you, but Ferrari has had 4 seat cars in its inventory continuously since 1953.

Yes... but thoose rear seats were mostly only good for carrying two Felinni Circus Midgets with no legs....

Tam said...

The Mondial and 400 both had quite reasonable rear seats.
