...to the snow. Just dug out the snowshoes from ages ago (so long ago we only had three pairs, as we got them when BabyGirl G. was still small enough to be pulled in the LL Bean sled). Got them set up for the kids (TheBoy is wearing the shoes we got for Mrs. G. And they fit fine) and we took a leisurely stroll through the neighborhood in our snowshoein' finest. Given the recent warmup and re-freeze, it's doubtful that the snowshoes were really needed, but the kids got a kick out of snowshoeing in the backyard.
There are some advantages to the New England winter...

Snowshoes: Should be part of every Winter Bug Out Bag. Easier to maneuver through heavy brush than skis.
