Chatting with friends in Gunblogger Conspiracy last night, someone brought up "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly". After a brief but spirited discussion of the phonetic spelling of the theme music, I was forced to find the music. So I thought I'd share:
You see in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
That is all.

Jay,
Mad St. Jack beat me to it . . . you MUST listen to the rendition of the theme song as performed by The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britian.
On a related note, the role of Tuco is played by Eli Wallach -- a Jew from Brooklyn, NY whose parent came from Poland. I'm reading Wallach's autobiography, titled "The Good, The Bad, and Me", and am quite enjoying it. Even at 90+ years of age, Wallach is a great story-teller.

I love this move, and the music. Ennio Morricone was a freakin' genius. You think this is good, check out the soundtrack he wrote for another Sergio Leone western, Once Upon a Time in the West.
I'm with Raptor!
The theme from "A Fistfull of Dollars" is my personal fave.
I belive it was Undercover SKA did a a cover of it that was pretty good too!
Near the Top on my Top Ten Movie List. Too bad Clint and the Duke never worked together. But in the Parallel Universe Next Door.....
One of my favorite old western classics.
Personally, I think Eli Wallach stole the show with his portrayal of Tuco.
When you have to shoot, SHOOOOT, don't talk.
Another good soundtrack was featured in High Plains Drifter. Nothing fancy, but it did an amazing job of setting the mood for the entire movie.
Treasury of the West 1
Treasury of the West 2 and
The Wild West: Essential Western Film Music (SSD1099) All 2-CD sets.
Some day I'm gonna drive through Monument Valley and the Four Corners region with those CDs playing.
If you'll excuse me I have six-shooters and Winchesters to clean.
