It's essentially a giant slingshot that flings machetes blade-first. I see no way this could possibly go wrong. I do have to admit, I really like the inventor's raison-d'etre: “What is it good for? Nothing except attracting people’s attention on YouTube.”
Well, that and for raining machetes down on zombies - bet it'd be great for that!

My golf ball onager suddenly seems...inadequate.
Kittery Trading Post has a massive broadhead, I am tempted to make a ballista bolt with it and a ballista to shoot it. I bet it could also launch machetes in a pinch...

Why do I want one? It's not like you could carry enough machetes to keep it fed. The reload time is slow. The range is short.
But want one I do.
So.... when are you building the bayonet version??? :-)
