S.C. man killed by ex-girlfriend's dad in shootout
SALUDA, S.C. Authorities say a man who kidnapped his former girlfriend has been shot to death in a shootout that also involved her father and her roommate.Saluda County Sheriff Jason Booth told WIS-TV that John Clark went to his ex-girlfriend's house Saturday night even though she had a restraining order against him and put a gun to her head.
The story gets more complicated from here on in - apparently the woman's roommate took a shot at the guy, missed (or at least failed to stop him) and got shot by him for her trouble. Dad hears the commotion, comes running with his gun, and doesn't miss, turning "ex-boyfriend" into "ex-human".

As the father of a beautiful young lady, I heartily endorse this gentleman's actions and nominate for the Presidential Medal of Freedom in recognition of his exploits.
I simply love the fact that he took a double-tap to the chest single to the head. Props to Dad and I hope he lives long for his deeds.
Put a gun to my daughters head and it'll be the last thing you ever do.
And I say that as someone who has no kids.
Double goodness in this story. The roommate shot at him, then the cavalry arrived. The goblin didn't finish off the roommate and girl in the meantime. I presume that the gun stopped working because he limp-wristed like the loser he was (or maybe it was a hi-point). -8notch
But how did the ex-boyfriend manage to get a gun past the restraining order's protective force field?
