I'm heading to Rock River after work to pick up some parts for one of the lowers I bought last year.
Stretching out a single rifle over three or four BAG days may not quite meet the spirit, but it gets me in the mix.
I was planning on nothing this BAG day. After some divine intervention, I spent this afternoon fondling one of my grail guns. We shall see if I can close a deal tomorrow!
It will be late for BAG day, but it will be late with style!

Here's my BAG day acquisition.
OK I'm a day late posting this but I got my BAG day purchase a few days ago. I went into my favorite local shop planning on ordering a 1911A1 for BAG day. Instead I walked out with an M1 Garand.
I've wanted one for years was collecting my paperwork to order one from the CMP but our local gunsmith had one on consignment there. I was talking to the gunsmith about the gun when my wife appoached his wife and said - ring that one up, he ain't putting it down. She asked about the 1911 and my dear wife told her - "I'll get the Garand for him, if he still wants the 1911 he will have to work that out with you himself."
So not only did I get a great rifle for BAG day, but I didn't even have to pay for it.
My lovely bride, "I didn't get nuttin" Cher found her BAG day/Birthday gun today. Have to go back with the cash tomorrow, then pics to follow. We also made offers on 2 consignment guns somewhere else, so she may just end up with 2-3 BAG day guns this year.
The greasy wheel get's the grease!! WOOT!
