I'm at the local baseball field watching my son practice before the first game in the finals series. His team - much like his basketball team this past winter - went undefeated for the regular season. Unlike basketball, though, baseball has a "World Series" where the top eight teams compete in a round robin tournament. He's excited, nervous, and bouncing off the walls... And so is his proud dad...
Now, if we can only survive this first game...

UPDATE: Holy smokes. They ended the game early. At the bottom of the 4th inning (they play six innings in AAA baseball), TheBoy's team was ahead by 13 points. The league has a "mercy rule" where the time up ends automatically if the team scores six runs in an inning, so mathematically the other team could not make up the deficit without invoking the "mercy rule"...
Go TheBoy!!!
