After the engine of his Porsche 911 decided to die (and take much of the cooling system along with it in some kind of powertrain suicide pact), the owner considered the $20,000 repair job and instead decided to donate the car to a non-profit. A non-profit dedicated to protecting gun rights. Let's find out what happens when you pump a car with 10,000 rounds of hot lead.The pictures used in the article are actually from a friend of mine - z0mbi on the Northeastshooters forum - who has left his photobucket account up for all to see how the shooters at this car shoot absolutely demolished a Porsche 911. And they had fun:Who hasn't wanted to take a few shots at a 911, even an older model, after years of dealing with Porsche drivers? They probably owe us one. So rather than spend more on the car than it was worth, it was nice of this particular owner to donate it to charity.
Heh. I think I like the mannequin head best of all...

I point out, however that the shoot took place in NH.
They One-up'd me! All I donated was a '94 Dodge Shadow.
Man I bet that was fun!
Not only did it end up on Jalopnik, but the Sun in the UK picked it up, and it's been sprayed around all sorts of forums (including a few Porsche forums ;) )

That was a hoot. We did some pretty terrible things to that car. I particularly enjoy the fact that we completely stripped the cushions and seatcovers off the seats, by sheer firepower alone.
Unless I'm horribly behind the times, a 911 Porsche is air-cooled, no cooling system other than some duct work and a fan involved. If the dealer he took it to told him that, and caused the destruction of a fine car, the dealer should be charged with man(car?)slaughter, fraud or something like that!
The new all-wheel drive 911 is being presented in four versions - as the 911 Carrera four and 911 Carrera 4S and each as Coupé and Cabriolet. They sport the same traits as the rear-wheel-drive versions: their lightweight body innovation, suspensions, engines and gearboxes are identical, the only exception being modifications associated with the all-wheel drive. This ensures that despite a higher level of engine and driving performance, all 4 models consume significantly less fuel than the previous designs; complete savings for individual versions are as much as 16 percent. Moreover, the latest 911 Carrera 4 is up to 65 kg lighter in weight.
